Two Panda bears have become ambassadors between China and Taiwan
Tuana Tuana and Yuan Yuan, two panda bears, have become ambassadors of good will towards Chinese Taiwan. Bears, aged four years, were brought in from the Sichuan and were flown to Taipei.
The tour was originally scheduled in 2006 but was postponed because of the refusal of former chairman of Taiwan. He then denounced "panda diplomacy", intended to distract attention from taiwnezilor tensions between Taipei and Beijing.
The current president of Taiwan wishes the recovery of relations between the two countries, which has agreed to bring the panda bears.
